This\nis also why developments of the Company\u2019s Branch Offices Network are not\nfocused on the big cities, but on the smaller cities, which are generally located\nrelatively far from the capital of each province (first-level regions). These have\nlately turned out to be the base regions for regional autonomy, a requirement that\nbegan to be implemented in Indonesia. <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are four reasons as to why the\ndevelopment of PT Armada Finance is carried out with a geographic development\nstrategy, namely by expanding the marketing network (extensification), and not\nby a market deepening strategy (intensification). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Geographical development will provide better\nopportunities for PT Armada Finance in serving customers and business partners;\n<\/li><li>Geographical development will overcome the\npossibility of softening or easing prudent financing standards. This is because\nof the pressure on the need to pursue targeted business volumes; <\/li><li>Geographical development will enlarge the\ncompany&#8217;s customer base, and reduce the risk of portfolio financing; <\/li><li>Geographical development will also optimize the\nimplementation of price discrimination strategy, so that it will increase the\ncompany&#8217;s profitability.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Implementation of the geographical development strategy has begun\nsince the first-year operation of PT Armada Finance. In 1996, PT Armada Finance\nbegan with opening and maintaining a branch office in Semarang. This\ngeographical development then continued to be planned and carried out periodically,\nafter completing analysis on the Company\u2019s current performance and feasibility\nstudies on potential cities. Other than the above four reasons, geographical\ndevelopment serves as a motivator for employees, by providing continuous\npossibilities and chances to achieve higher levels of professions to those who\nhave high performances in their current positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After focusing itself on the markets in Central Java Region in its\nfirst five-year period, PT Armada Finance began to expand its business in its\nsecond five-year period, by opening and maintaining Branch Offices Network in the provinces (first-level regions)\nof West Java, East Java, Bali, Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Sumatra. The developments\nof these Branch Offices Network are\nongoing. Currently, PT Armada Finance has Branch Offices Network in West Nusa\nTenggara and East Nusa Tenggara. Considering the macro economic conditions, the\nopening of Branch Offices Network will still currently need to be carried out\nin areas with economic potentials to grow and develop, which may become a\npotential market for finance companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In its third five-year period, PT Armada Finance started to\ndevelop a system of representative offices (which was later referred to as \u2018an\noffice other than a branch office\u2019 by the Financial Services Authority\/Otoritas\nJasa Keuangan). A representative office is a service office that is a\nsubsidiary of a branch office. By the end of 2018, PT Armada Finance has 37\nbranch offices and 48 representative offices.
